Dixie Doodlers

Dixie Doodlers may be an unusual name for a top rated 1920s style Jazz Band whose musicians strive for perfection to create music with bright melody, awesome harmony and energetic rhythm.

A team of talented musicians who love to entertain and vocalists who can sing many tunes by heart. These versatile musicians regularly perform in other musical groups from restaurant bands to classical ensembles, jazz groups to theatrical pit orchestras, and teach music to students.

There’s no doodling around when the Dixie Doodlers perform, work, record or practice. You could say they doodle with jazz styles, but only their band name has Doodlers in it.

Their weekly rehearsals include learning more tunes, listening to old 78 RPM records, and reviewing their incredibly huge repertoire of 546 tunes. There’s always something new with a kazoo, improvising with a washboard, or playing a 13-note tonette.

These musicians can perform on the main stage, in a parade, at a street setting, roving around, in the background, for church services, or authentic Dixieland funerals.

Enjoy a musical program at your anniversary, birthday, ceremony, church, corporate gathering, event, festival, parade, party, picnic or special occasion. Help us to keep music alive.
