Entering their seventh year of writing original music together, what sets Tangled Lines furthest apart from other acts is their instrumental and vocal approach. The Welsh/British influences of lead singer James Davies, make peace with traditional American sounds without overpowering them. The rest of the band has a diverse musical background including pop, rock, country, and punk. When you put all of their talents together, you get Tangled Lines.
2022 is shaping up to be an exciting year for Tangled Lines, with the band recently winning the WAMI People’s Choice award for the Best Band in Southeastern Wisconsin, writing the theme song for the John McGivern’s Main Streets T.V. show, as well as having a few songs featured on popular reality TV shows. The band loves nothing more than playing to their fans, and keeping them dancing all night. Anytime you see them, you will hear a mix of their original music (a mix of Alt. Rock and Americanna) and a collection of upbeat popular cover songs from multiple musical eras. They are also continuing to write new songs and looking forward to the process of putting together a third album in the coming year.
