Hailing from Southeastern WI, Big Spoon is as fun and diverse as a band as you’ll ever find. With a wide musical background, the group draws from a variety of styles and never pigeon holes themselves into one genre. With the ability to morph styles seamlessly between every song, you’ll find the audience boogieing down to 70’s funk, shakin’ yo money-maker to current top 40 & hip-hop hits, head bangin’ to 90’s metal and some boot stompin’ southern rock thrown in for good measure.
As the newest party band on the scene, Big Spoon has made quite a name for themselves since 2015. The group has been fortunate enough to land awesome gigs at venues such as Watertown’s Fourth of July Celebration and the Wisconsin State Fair. The members of Big Spoon are no stranger to the shows such as these both large and small though, with members of the group opening for national acts such as Mr. Big, Joan Jett, and 3-Days Grace in some of their prior musical endeavors.
Guitar player Daniel Faherty says “This band loves to change it up! We make sure the everyone in the crowd has a blast, from the first note to the last epic chord. And with this much variety, if you’re not having fun, you’d better check your pulse!!!”
Lead vocalist Tom Wegner seems to defy gravity as he bounces around the stage. “I just give 110% on every song—I just cant help but rock out to the fat grooves these guys lay down!”
